Tracey Roberts - Split

“…though it hurt me, I painted the woman, with the dagger in a fist, her doe like eyes hidden in the mist…”
This piece of art enabled me to finally finish the song Masks which I began writing back in 1990, not long after my weird experience with a two-faced "friend" who
betrayed me. She is depicted by a performer split by the struggle between the desire to express warmth and beauty,
and succumbing to the twisted forces of evil, dragging her into the darkness of "self harm" and the complex world of depravity.
