Tracey Roberts - Shades of Blue

Jeremy
Shades of Blue- track 2
music and lyrics: Tracey Roberts © 2006 / 2010

She lived in a rambling old house near a winery
Doing her own brand of personal time
Pruning the pot plants out on the balcony  ... she was lonely…

No need to worry about working at all
Days were spent staring at storybook clouds
But her nights were marred by ghosts in the walls … she was frightened…

He came on a Tuesday to work on the land
The agency sent him upon her request
There was work to be done – it needed a man…like Jeremy…

Jeremy, angel child
Beautiful boy, stay with me
Young and strong, dark and wild
Set me free, Jeremy

Watching him working, his body so fine
She fantasized with her secretive smile
Plenty of money and plenty of time … she was scheming …

She found him funny, but he found her sad
The perfect seduction, the child in the man
His looks of wonder were driving her mad … she was falling…

So she fed his ego and he fed her wine
Beautiful days spent in the sun
Talking for hours and hours at a time … oh Jeremy

Jeremy, angel child
Beautiful boy, stay with me
Young and strong, dark and wild
Set me free, Jeremy

They fell into each others arms
She closed her eyes, realising her dream
He kissed her mouth a thousand times
She was transported….

Then he thrust the knife into her chest
Carefully avoiding her panic filled eyes
He cried and cried as he laid her to rest ….oh Jeremy

Jeremy, angel child
Beautiful boy, stay with me
Young and strong, dark and wild
Set me free…Jeremy… stay with me …  Jeremy

He lived in a rambling old house near a winery
Doing his own brand of personal time…
